The Baheti Family made a humble beginning into steel trading in the late 1960’s from Calcutta, an industrial hub in India. The steel trading progressed into customized steel casting factory for making spares for the Cement Plants and Mining Equipments. During 1980’s when India was opened up for liberalization, the Company founded a niche opportunity to import specialized mining spares from overseas. As such the Company got involved in liaison activities in importing spares for mining industries for Europe and USA for the expanding copper, zinc and iron ore mines. The success led to formation of its first overseas operation in Hong Kong leading to significant expansion of trade activities in the field of Ferro Alloys, Minerals, and Metals for the secondary manufacturing industries in India apart from procurement of cost competitive mining spares from China instead of Europe and USA. During the altering years, opportunity started flooding from booming Middle East and Africa region. To respond to opportunities, it was decided in year 2005 to have a business set up in Dubai, ideal location for handling Middle East and Africa region. Apart from the advantage of investor friendly laws and unavailability of taxation on the profits earned. The operations in Hong Kong and Dubai have moved the group into a continuous process of forging strategic alliances with world class partners who are widely acknowledged as leaders in their field and territories.
