Metal trade De Horne has been active in the recycling of ferrous and non-ferrous metals since 1983. At the time we worked from the wharf in Joure, in 2009 we expanded to a larger wharf in Heerenveen. At our two sites, everything is in place to upgrade various types of waste streams into usable raw materials for foundries and steel mills. Various types of waste flows are collected by us. Consumer waste, industrial waste, but also waste from construction and demolition work. To make this collection possible, we have a large number of containers and an extensive vehicle fleet. We have various means of production for reprocessing waste streams into raw materials for foundries and steel plants. Our machine consists of a shredder , a pair of scissors , a non-ferrous shredde r , a non-ferrous metal separating line and two presses . We are recognized as a battery recycler by Stichting Batterijen . We are able to sort batteries out of household waste. For this we have a special installation at our location in Joure. The sorting of batteries is done under the name Batteries Separation Processing Installation .
